Anger ends in shame

Anger is foremost enemy of humankind, which inherently resides within oneself only to destroy him, just like fire which is enkindled by a piece of wood ends up burning the piece.

Whatever is begun in anger, ends in shame.
Anger is just one letter short of danger!

Sharing is caring

Whenever it finds some food, a crow calls other crows so that they can enjoy it together. But, a beggar never does so. That's why, crows are superior to beggars.

Sharing is caring.
There is no delight in owning anything unshared.

Hard work is its own reward

Your right is only to perform your duty. You do not have right to expect any consequences thereof. You should neither be motivated by the fruits of your action, nor should they encourage you to be inactive.

The reward of a thing well done, is to have done it.

It's no use crying over spilt milk

What has been done cannot be done again.
What has been dead cannot die again.
What has been lost should not be repented for.
This is the opinion of Vedic Scholars.

Let bygones be bygones.
What's done cannot be undone.
Eggs cannot be unscrambled.

A scholar knows no boredom

An intelligent person spends his time by enjoying poetry and scientific literature. In contrast, a fool spends his time in his addiction to bad habits, laziness or in some kind of quarrel.

A scholar knows no boredom.
It is not who we are but what we do that defines us.
A habit's but a long practice, friend,
And this becomes man's nature in the end.

A neat appearance always helps

He who wears dirty clothes, doesn't brush his teeth, is a glutton, speaks rudely, sleeps at dawn and dusk is forsaken by the goddess of wealth even if he is Lord Vishnu.

Cleanliness is next to godliness.
A neat appearance always helps.
First impression is the best impression.

Whatever is begun in anger, ends in shame

Anger is the root of anxiety and mental distress. It is anger that keeps people bound to a worldly life. It even destroys righteous qualities. Therefore, put away your anger.

Anger is short-lived madness.
Anger is just one letter short of danger!
Whatever is begun in anger, ends in shame.

Appearances are often deceiving

Crow is black, and so is a cuckoo. But then, what is the difference between the two? With the arrival of spring, (we realize that) a crow is just a crow, and a cuckoo is a cuckoo indeed.

Appearances are deceptive.
Do not judge a book by its cover.

Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder

Is there anything that is beautiful or ugly by its nature? Whatever pleases a person gets recognized by him as being beautiful.

Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.
