Work is worship

The goddess of wealth comes by herself to a person who is enthusiastic, who does not procrastinate, who plans his work systematically, who is not addicted to any bad habits, who is brave, grateful and friendly.

Work is worship.
Fortune favors the brave.

Be wise, be prepared

A learned person can never act foolishly.
A devout person can never be wicked.
A silent person can never get involved in quarrels.
A person who is alert and awake can never be afraid.

Be alert. Be awake.

A man is known by the company he keeps

For whom is the company of great people not beneficial? Even a water droplet when on lotus petal, shines like a pearl.

A man is known by the company he keeps.
Keep good company and you'll be counted one of them.

Don't be mean, go Green!

Trees make shade for others, even by standing themselves in Sun. They also provide fruits for others to enjoy. Trees are indeed, like good people.

Don't be mean, go Green!
The best time to plant a tree is twenty years ago. The second best time is now.

Destiny often plays strange tricks

Usually, wife of a handsome young man is not beautiful. Similarly in most cases, an attractive lady isn't lucky enough to have a handsome husband. In rare cases, one can find a good-looking couple, but then they will be suffering from poverty. The tricks played by destiny are strange indeed.

Destiny often plays strange tricks on us.

Better bend than break

A tree bearing fruits always bends (towards earth, due to the weight of fruits). Similarly, wise people respect others by bowing. Whereas, unwise people are like dry sticks which break but never bend.

Blessed are the hearts that can bend, for they shall never be broken.

First deserve and then desire

People always desire to enjoy the fruits of good deeds, but they do not perform those good deeds. They never desire to suffer from the consequences of their sins, but they commit sins intentionally.

First deserve and then desire.
As you sow, so shall you reap.

Poets never die

Those great poets who are profound masters of creative literary work attain the real victory. Their embodiment of success does not have any fear of old age or death.

Poets never die.

Self respect is the fruit of discipline

If a dog finds a dusty piece of bone devoid of any flesh containing a little sinew, it feels happy even if that piece does not quench its hunger. On the other hand, a lion chooses not to attack a nearby jackal and hunts only for a mighty elephant. Everyone hungers for a fruit which befits his abilities though it demands extra effort.

Self-respect knows no considerations.
Self-respect is the fruit of discipline. The sense of dignity grows with the ability to say no to oneself.

Success is an outcome of conscious choices pursued consistently

As are thoughts, so are words. As are words, so are deeds.
Virtuous people are consistent in thoughts, words and deeds.

Say what you mean.
Do what you say.

Success is an outcome of conscious choices pursued consistently.
