अपुत्रस्य गृहं शून्यम्
सन्मित्ररहितस्य च ।
मूर्खस्य च दिशः शून्याः
सर्वशून्या दरिद्रता ॥

Empty is a house for a childless person, and also for the one without any good friends. All the directions are empty for a fool. Importantly, everything is empty wherever there is poverty.
