दुर्जनेन समं सख्यम्
वैरञ्चापि न कारयेत् ।
उष्णो दहति चाङ्गारः
शीतः कृष्णायते करम् ॥

- हितोपदेशः

One should neither have friendship nor enmity with an evil man. Coal when hot, burns and when it is cold, blackens the hand.

See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil.
Better to be alone than in a bad company.
Non-cooperation with evil is a sacred duty.
Do not envy evil men, nor desire their company.
